چکیده
Background: Pyogenic infection is one of major causes morbidity and increasing medical expense. Multiple organisms can cause wound infection. Drug resistant bacteria are the most important therapeutic challenge. Methods: A prospective study was carried out from July 2021 to October 2021and pus samples were collected suspected OPD indoor patients with The specimen after appropriate aerobic culture, grown identified by colony morphology, staining reaction different standard biochemical tests. Modified Kirby Bauer disc diffusion method used for antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Results: Out 140 patients, 88 (62.9%) showed bacterial growth them male 66 (64.70%). Most isolates isolated in-patient (52, 59.1%). Staphylococcus aureus prevalent pathogen (38.6%) followed Klebsiella spp. (22.7%). S. MRSA (32.4%) sensitive vancomycin, linezolid teicoplanin. other Gram-negative mostly imipenem they highly co-trimoxazole, cephalosporins. Conclusions: mainly attributing pyogenic infections aureus, species. High level drug resistance seen both Gram positive bacteria. Continuous surveillance necessary. As microorganisms antibiotic classes, so effective proper implementation local policy needed.

متن کاملIncidence and screening of wound infection causing microorganisms
Different types of wounds samples were collected from 19 patients during March-April 2011 in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, India. Four types of bacterial species were isolated and identified by selective culture medium and standard biochemical tests from the collected wound samples. Each wound samples showed one or more bacterial isolate, totally 78.9% of samples exhibited 24 isolates. Among them, Stap...
متن کاملStudy of Microorganisms Causing Neonatal Sepsis in a Tertiary Care Hospital and their Antimicrobial Susceptibility Pattern
Neonatal septicemia continues to be one of the commonest causes of neonatal mortality and morbidity despite advances in healthcare. Neonatal sepsis may be categorized as early onset sepsis (EOS) or late onset (LOS) according to time of onset of the disease. Presence of risk factors such as low birth weight or preterm baby, febrile illness in the mother 2 weeks prior to delivery, foul smelling o...
